The Dio continues to grow
It came to my attention that I could gain some more room if I could put to use the second large LGB bridge and use it for vehicular traffic. So...... Here's the progress pictures !! Now I still have to come up with some backdrops for covering up the boxes and I need to do some work on the side next to the bridge, but all in all it's coming along nicely ![]() Da General |

forreals, did you build that wooden ramp on the bridge or is that part of it, either way pretty cool, now all you need is one of those bigass rail guns

Alright you guys ...
The bridges are a 4 foot long LGB bridge. I just used some Basswood that I cut to about 6.5 inches long to fit in between the truss sides. I next glued 2 strips on the edges of those basswood strips, then stained them. I still plan to add a few (3) lights in shades to hang from the top connecting truss work like a real bridge would have been. I should put a gaurd shack on the far side of the bridge with a gate. I wish it was a little wider, but will work with what I have as not to wreck this $250 LGB train bridge I am just real happy with the way the basswood laid in there and how it looks. I think I will next put some basswood strips along the walkway on either side of the track on the train bridge Da General |
