Me personally, I like to find what I consider the best version of whatever character I'm after. And then just stick with that. Like right now in my collection I have

TrU RoC Firefly
PoC Lowlight, Spirit, Duke, Snake Eyes
Resolute Beachhead.
Renegade Stormshadow.

I'm leaving a lot out, but I hate having more then one version of a figure. So in other words, I don't army build either. I have a squad of 4 30th Blueshirts that get the job done. I have 1 PoC viper that I use as a squad leader for my blueshirts. Hopefully (Odin willing) I'll be able to sooner or later have a 4 man Cobranight ops team (Dollar General wave).

All the designs are based on real world firearms and scopes/sights etc.

If the first wave goes well, I'll make more. I don't have the prices set yet, but my markup per set will be very low, as I'm really doing it for cool gear in joe scale, rather than money.

To make the items cheaper, I'll be selling them in sets of more than one firearm unless it's a big weapon with it's own accessories (like ammo cans etc).

I'll post pics in a couple of weeks, when I have the prototypes in hand. The shop and designs won't be stepping on any toes, as I have intentionally only made designs that others have not, and that includes items people have shown as coming in the future.
I just wanted to make a thread I can update, each time there is an update.

I'd also love feedback when the time comes for that. Real feedback, so that is positive as well as negative.

I basically stole my MAS3 Blaze custom and turned him into this. MAS3 is getting a re-vamp. More ciivilian looking.

I plan to do Halo load outs with shoots and gear on both of these.

I added a radio and pouch, cut the hose off the helmet, drilled a hole and inserted the hose from the Cobra Gunship Pilot Vest. Had to glue it down so it wouldn't push the helmet up off, still has plenty of play to turn his head both ways. He's got a green shirt and will be the sniper of the two.

Now, obviously we won't really know much until the show premiers, but does the premise of this show not basically look like a U.S. Navy Captain of a Nuclear Submarine leads his crew in direct mutiny of the United States?

Does it not look like a plausible storyline for "The Founding of Cobra Island"?

Does it not look like the Navy SEALs and the Marines need to go kick the crap out of these traitors? I don't know if I'll watch the show, but it looks like a great premise for a Joe story... and the Joes would be kicking the crap out of these guys.

I had started this idea of an Operative that comes in at night, deals some pain and disapears. Sent in solo for recon or direct action. The POC Snake Eyes Commando is a great base and after seeing wry1 & Cloudes versions of Ripcord I knew what I needed to do to wrap him up.

Note the strap pouch made of hockey tape to accept the oxygen cannister and the wrist gadget. I had interviewed with a company that made all kinds of gadgets for the military. One in particular was this thing, I wish I could remember what it was called but, it could monitor vitals, location, send messages, data, maps and all kinds of crap. Looked like an olde oversized pager with a full screen worn like a watch. I seen it used on spec ops in one of the documentaries out there.

Did some other mods to the vest. Getting a little crazy wth the hockey tape.
